Hailing from a lineage of great musicians Vidwan A.P. Krishna Prasad is one of the leading flautists in the field of carnatic and the popular music forms.
A.P. Krishna Prasad has been mesmerizing the audience with his immaculate style and innate creativity. Initiated into music at a tender age of 4, Krishna Prasad is trained under his father a legendary musician Vidwan A.V. Prakash. His skills were further nurtured by the legendary flautist Dr. N. Ramani.
Influenced by other forms of music like hindustani and western music and with his constant efforts Krishna Prasad has curated an unique style of rendition in his flute which has elevated him to his present stature in the field of music.
He is a commendable composer which gives him another dimension in the field of dance and other popular art forms.
His interests for other forms of music has enlarged the spectrum of his performance from fusion to jugalbandhi, from blues to jazz music with those big names in the respective fields.
He has quenched the thirst for good music in India and abroad including USA, Japan, Switzerland and South Africa. Widening his horizons with extensive global touring, he has enriched his music with nuances sought from all schools of music.Accolades have come from around the world. Music lovers celebrate the finesse of his fingering, the dexterity of his playing and the incomprehensible speed of his intricate blowing designs.
Krishna Prasad is a trained LIVE SOUND ENGINEER under MEYER SOUND (LASSET Incorporating solid basics and cutting edge technology including Directional Sub and Acoustic Measurement) in Thailand and Electro Voice (EV) in Singapore.
He trains the most aspirant students in India and abroad. His father was a great guru from whom he has imbibed the skills of teaching and has got hundreds of students all over the world. Many of his students now perform overseas.
